Honoring one of our most loved TriBeCa streets, we bring you our 2020 Leonard Street Grüner Veltliner, a staple of Spring and Summer drinking. Sustainably sourced from an Edna Valley vineyard on the Central Coast of California.
The grapes were directly pressed then fermented in stainless steel. Wine was aged for 6 months before bottling.
From a new venture inspired by the owners’ time in Manhattan, this Edna Valley Grüner is at once lemony and grainy, smelling of fermented wheat berries and a bit of white pepper. It’s more varietally correct than most domestic Grüners, with the nerve for grilled asparagus tossed in lemon. — Wine & Spirits - 90 Points.
