WINE STORY
Montana Ave Merlot, dually named “Maverick’s Merlot", was inspired by the Santa Monica street Alana, Matt and baby Maverick lived on for the first time together. The label represents our bungalow’s blue door and proximity to the ocean. Montana Ave is dear to our hearts for its countless family memories, and Mav earned this nod working hard on the wine with daddy.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas and tastes of black cherry and raspberry intertwine with a hint of vanilla and delicate rose petals. Nuances of pomegranate, cranberry and subtle cedar meld with notes of dried fig and prune. Balanced by chalky tannins and elevated acidity, this wine has a fresh, well-rounded palate with a blend of decadence and finesse that pair perfectly with friendly fire-side chats.
TASTING NOTES WINE ENTHUSIAST - 92 Points
This is a very appealing style of Merlot that gains more intrigue as it sits open for hours. Aromas of cherry, oak and root beer introduce the nose to the wine. The palate is pleasantly juicy yet also spiced with ample oak and herb influence.
